Award-winning greeting cards designed to brighten your day
Our Mission
We. Love. cards. We believe they have the power to make people feel good – whether that’s by sending some birthday wishes, welcoming a new baby to the world or by giving someone a hug when they need it the most, so we’ve made it our mission to make the world a brighter place with each and every card we design.
About Us
Stormy Knight was set up in 2013 by its founder Sarah Jackson, alongside her day job as a graphic designer. Bored of working for corporate clients, Sarah poured her creativity into designing screen-printed batches of greeting cards and selling them to local shops in Bristol. Fast forward a decade, and our quirky, fun (and sometimes a little cheeky) designs can be found in some of the best design-led card and gift shops across the UK as well as internationally – and we’ve even stacked up a few awards!
Stormy Knight is still a founder-led indie business, but we now work with a curated collection of talented contemporary illustrators from around the world, creating innovative designs that will look beautiful on your shelves, as well as at home on the mantlepiece – and always on the highest quality, responsibly sourced materials.
OUR VALUES
Design Innovation
We don’t do ‘ordinary’ cards. We like to stand out in the crowd by creating designs that are innovative, unique, and that your customers will love. From working with the best contemporary illustrators, to industry-first concepts and special print finishes, you can be assured that Stormy Knight cards are always extra-special.
Collaborative
We are lucky to work with a collection of extremely talented illustrators from around the world, who bring their own uniqueness to our portfolio of designs. All our illustrators receive upfront fees for their designs as well as royalties on sales. If you’re interested in collaborating on a collection with us then please get in touch by emailing hello@stormyknight.co.uk
Planet-Conscious
Our impact on the environment is important to us and we have taken the following steps to minimise our impact on the planet:
We only print on sustainably sourced FSC certified board
Our envelopes are made from FSC certified or recycled materials
We print with vegetable-based inks that are environmentally friendly
Our print production centre reuses waste materials to power itself and reduce its carbon emissions.
Our cards are delivered without individual packaging unless otherwise requested
We do not used plastic packing materials inside our parcels.

Strong Relationships
We pride ourselves on having great relationships with our valued customers and try to learn as much about them as possible so that our service is personal and bespoke. We aim to get everything spot-on with your orders, but if you ever have a problem, we will make sure that it’s resolved quickly and without faff. Our door is always open when it comes to hearing about what you’d like to see or how we can improve our service to you.
Founder-run
We are a small, independent company who answers to our customers rather than shareholders. Therefore, every decision we make is based on our values and providing the best quality contemporary greeting cards for our wonderful customers!
Fun
Setting up your own company can have its challenges, but the reason we do it is because we love what we do and enjoy going to work each morning. We believe work should be fun and that it should complement our lifestyles rather than dictate them and we hope that our cards reflect that ethos.
